Anonymous asked: how much did it weigh during competition?
I believe weigh in at inspection we were at about 108lbs. It was a pretty light robot.
Makerplace seesh. Shooter and loader working. Magazine needs some work tho, acrylic panels only for testing.
WCD :3
Week 4 is almost over… shit….
WCP parts came in, robot is g2g to be driving an shooting. Should be done by Friday. Electronics have the basics done, pneumatics need adding. Has bee a slow-ish kind of week but more things should happen the next 2 weeks.
Loader has been some what problematic with getting a material that grips the disks, surgical tubing ftw. And the pick up is still DNE… but it should be hammered fairly quickly. Hanger is in CAD and ready to be machined… Bimba pistons still DNE. Programming has begun with an new netbeans project and drive code v1 is done.
Yes!
After finals break Monday and Tuesday off.
Should have rollers/pulleys done by Tue. Surgical tubing is the material of choice grips disk really well in testing, rollers are revision two of the all billet design from last year. Using Tube with bores for bearings in the end. Live axle ones have hex plugs instead of bearings (Tormach), shaft has ¼ ends for a fairlock 20th GT2 3mm pulley.
STILL WAITING ON WCP GEARBOXES AND COLSONS………..
Shooter is put together minus hubs (photo below). Belts run nicely, there are some run out on the shafts/hubs. Extrusion has some run out issues, flat to flat are not equal, and tolerance stack ups ew…. NEED WHEELS….
